Horrible place zero customer service don’t go ever for asking lone
I came into this location a earlier today and even though the store was empty and the two women behind the glass where clearly not doing anything they were very rude and acted as i was bothering them. I sai hello with a smile but got none back. The big Hispanic lady sighed as she saw me approaching the window and huffed her way to me. I told her I had a refund from my insurance company, AAA insurance who use Bank of America, she looked at me and said "Well I'll have to call them to verify the check" . It was a bit odd to me that right away before she even looked at the check she said that to me like I was bringing her a fake check. Like most check cashing places every check must be verified but is usually done through their computer system. Of course I dont have a problem with her verifying the check but why was it the first thing she said to me before anything else? It was 4:40 in the afternoon so I reminded her that Bank of America is already closed, because if it was open I would have taken the check to them instead of this rude ace employee. She said, well I have to verify it anyways. And sluggishly proceeded to ask me my SS #. She added because I was a new customer I would have to pay an extra 4 or 3 dollar fee, seems unfair to target new customers with a fee for using them for the first time. I would assume like any other good company that Ace would welcome new business and perhaps give potential customers a deal. They dont. They penalize you for using their services for the first time. Walmart charges a total of $4 to cash a check under $1000. I had a $54 check, I asked for it back and took my check to Walmart where the service was friendly and they didnt have to call anyone. Dont go to this place there are way better choices.
