I received a check in mail for a loan I didn't request. The terms though high were fair and the unexpected funds came in handy. I received a Welcome call from Eileen. She proceeded to start asking me questions as if I was applying for a loan. I answered a few question but refused to give personal references. She was not happy and asked who can they call if i am delinquent. Well certainly not my friends and family. If you wanted personal references you should have asked for them before sending me a PREAPPROVED loan. Our time on the phone would have been better served with her explaing the loan terms and the different kinds of payments accepted. She hung up the phone after I refused to give references. They dont even know if I inderstand how the loan works. Its to bad my first interaction with them was not good. Sure ask for references and if someone is willing to give them great. But dont get ticked off for a customer not giving them something that was not required for the preapproval of the loan. Not the way to provide great customer service.
