Rapid Cash in Winter Haven, Florida

In December 2015 we voluntarily gave our vehicle to Rapid loans. We were planning on getting a different vehicle. We were told no matter how much they get for the vehicle they will not come back and need more money. We were even sent a letter with the manager's signature, that they got so much for the vehicle and we owed nothing! Well around May my husband got a phone call saying we owe so much money due to the left over balance from the vehicle we handed over. When we finally got the money to pay it off, even after we felt like we didn't owe anything because of what we were told back when we gave them the vehicle. They ended up putting a lean on a vehicle we had a loan with them in the past. That title was in both our names along with our current address. After we paid back our extra money we received the title back with only my husband's name and a totally different address that we never lived at! Yet, this loan had both of our names. This company needs to be shut down and would not recommend them for nothing!

I took an $800.00 loan with these company in 2014. I paid the loan off early. When I paid it off I was told the lien would be released that it could take up to 30 days. Here we are 2 years later and the lien is still on the car. I forgot about the vehicle lien until now, I need to get rid of the vehicle because it is dead. The only thing I can say is I am partially responsible for not staying on these guys but I say to anyone taking a loan out with them make sure and be diligent about getting the lien released.

Dont bother. My wife was approved somewhere else for 400$ We wanted to see other options. This place is a joke. First off there's underage kids working there. Then they told my wife she was being shady? But there's a dude standing next to use reeking of sweat with tracmarks all over his arms and neck sniffling and they are handing him cash? And said we didnt meet the requirements? My wife was embrassed so we left and got the original loan no issues at all. And we paid it back the next week. Just avoid this place i could only imagine the hell it would have been if we did get a loan here.

We took a loan out through this company because we needed to pay some bills. I understood going into this that we would probably be dealing with loan sharks and understood that the fees/interest rate would be outrageous. The sad fact is that poor people with poor credit are the ones who get taken advantage of the most. And I say that as a poor person with bad credit. I did not realize that, when we were pre-qualified over the phone (my wife did all this without even consulting me first and they allowed it) no mention was made of the fees. So when I was pressured to go along with this loan by my wife, I had no idea of what I was getting into. The lady who processed my loan was wonderful. I enjoyed talking to her during the loan process. However, there was no mention of the "convenience" fees that would apply to each and every payment made online or via payment card. When I made the first payment online the $5.95 convenience fee blew me away. My loan payback will essentially be twice the amount borrowed. And on top of that, $71.40 if I pay once a month for 12 months. I called RAL to ask about this. When the rep came on the phone, I started to say that when I took out this loan, I had no idea that--she cut me off and was very nasty. They didn't explain the (whatever term she used) that in case you total your vehicle, we are covered....Very nasty, extremely annoyed and irate. Didn't even give me a chance to finish before she just assumed and went off on a nasty rant. I was trying to be civil about this. I stated that this was explained (and I was totally aware of the exploitation in the form of fees and interest loan shark style) but NOTHING given to us regarding this nasty fee. She acted surprised that I had not been informed of the fee. This is supposedly for a third-party to process the payment. Crazy thing is, they try to encourage bi-monthly payments...even MORE money they make! I didn't care for the attitude at all. She made a sarcastic remark about how, for 49 cents I could send a check or MO. As if I'd complain about that too. -OR- go to 7-11 or Walmart and pay a fee "as low as" $1.50. What does that mean? Maybe it is a "convenience" to pay online as opposed to getting out cash to pay at the store and then I believe the payment still has to be reported anyway. None of this makes any sense. This should only be used as a last resort. I went against my better judgment on this. And I even talked to the guy later on, and the info provided wasn't even correct. He made it sound like All I would have to do is go in, sign a couple papers and get a check. These people were a lot nicer before I got the loan, now they are nasty. Beware. Even the cash advance places are better. Try cutting back, make a budget, try to find a little extra work, make payment arrangements with debtors, ask a friend/family member for a little loan and have them hold your title...anything you could possibly do to avoid these loan sharks!

I find the reply amusing. The one part which pissed me off is the actual manager DEMANDED the bank statements when clearly I made a print out of the online sales which showed how much I made for the month. He made a sorry excuse about "audits" when income from the borrower is proof enough, so Im not a dummy in this situation from experience. Why do you need a bank statement when the online account print out showed it?? Yeah give you more of information which I dont need. The other car title loan didn;t have a problem with it and they accepted Amazon and Ebay sales print out. These people are seriously scammers.
