I dont know who this new guy by the name of ben... But everytime I come in to cash my check he gives me a hard time. I have been cashing my checks for yrs. And he is the only one that has to make a phone call and do the most like im a criminal... So sick of him...
when a company such as Amscot charges you 50 cents for every roll of pennies , dimes or nickles they are a ripoff ,, they dont roll up the coins to say its labor ,,, Publix orwalmart or anyone else doesnt charge for rolled change ,,, never will i support these ripoffs .
I come here every two weeks to cash my paycheck.. Have been for some time now.. Always in and out... Until today. . . i have been in here for well over an hour waiting and waiting and waiting barley anyone else in here and this younger girl has been taking her sweet ass time and rude as all hell doesn't even have a name tag on so you can't even properly address her, i come here because they usually have the best service but after this i don't think ill be coming back.
I've obtained some cashier's checks at Amscot before, numerous locations, and while it's always skeezy and slow it's at least an honest transaction. I took my BIL to cash a gift family check and after an ABSURDLY long 'interview' and prodding into his life he was finally allowed to cash the check with an outrageous fee. I read the wall and the 'fee schedule' and it was going to work out to roughly 7 bucks. Seriously, the questions were intrusive and lead me to believe he was targeted and specifically fee'd for being black, poor, in hospice, and on social security payments. They asked him what was wrong with him, how much money he got from social security, why he didn't have a bank, why he was getting a check, who the person was writing it, what he was going to spend it on...stuff that I'm pretty sure crosses the line of some law. And then judged easy to fee because of those answers and cheated out of 50 bucks. I will never use an Amscot again because of this experience.
Worst customer service experiance ever...terrible attitudes, takes forever and overpriced.
