Value Pawn & Jewelry in Port Richey, Florida

Called to ask about an item they have in store. Representative was rude and snobby over the phone. Asked him if the item was the first version of the device or second. His response was they only made one version, which is incorrect and when I explained the differences and how to identify them because I wasn’t in store he became sarcastic and defensive trying to make me seem like a dummy. I don’t leave many reviews, but at times like this, they’re in need.

I should have read the reviews before going into this shop. Was disgusted with the smell. There were bugs EVERYWHERE! I Purchased an iPhone and was told it was unlocked for Sprint Network. I was assured that the device could be returned if I was unsatisfied. After powering it on in the parking lot I quickly saw it was locked with Apple ID. I never left the place and walked right back in. The old lady told me that she had no idea what I was talking about and that she had never seen me before. Followed by denial of authenticity for the bill of sale. I had no choice but to take the loss. I decided to contact Apple to see if there was anything I could do to no avail. The icing on the cake was a police officer arriving at my house to arrest me for possession of stolen property. Showed him the bill of sale and was told that this was not the first time that he had this happen with this pawn shop. I only wanted to write this review to try to stop at least one person from enduring what I had to. Sure enough many others had noticed the bugs as well.

The place is disgusting. The staff was yelling at each other. When you're actually there to purchase something they treat you like garbage. Some random person sitting on a chair in front of the register looking strung out. I waiting at the counter to look at something in the case for 15 minutes before someone came over. Then after I selected the item I wanted the lady didn't come back for 20 minutes. Eventually a different staff member came over. I have been in the store before and waited at the counter for 20 minutes with no one even showing up. The older lady with the glasses who seems to be higher up on the totem pole has the worst attitude and was the one cussing across the store at someone. I have been to other value pawns and the area and this is by far the worst and I will never return to this store. Update: The item that I purchased had internal damage rendering it useless. I was assured that the product was tested and was fully functional. Those people lie right to your face and sell you junk.

They gave me a fair price for my jewelry. Very happy with the results☺️

I Purchased a phone from them that was supposed to be usable. Upon returning home and trying to switch to that phone I realized it was google locked. After calling in advance to be sure of the items ability to be returned they assured me they would be available to assist me i rushed to them. I arrived 3 minutes before they were supposed to close, to locked doors and unanswered phone calls with staff staring at me through the doors. At 7:01p.m. they finally answered the phone I explained the situation and that I had spoke to a staff member whom said come on in and was told couldn't help me due to the computers being shut down.
