I am full time care-giver for a ridiculously sweet elderly disabled gentleman withOUT transportation. This wonderful man I care for has been a member of Sunbelt Credit for over 5 years. Recently due to his ill health he has been forced to reside with me in Pensacola, about 45 minutes to an hour from where he used to live as his health is detiorating and he needs full time care. Recently he recieved a letter in the mail from the Milton branch stating they were extending a Holiday loan to him and that all he had to do was come in to the bank to get the money. Well he asked me to call his branch in Milton to see if he could transfer his current, (up to date) account to the Davis Branch and get his loan from the new location for several obvious reasons. The first being he is DISABLED, ELDERLY and WITHOUT TRANSPORTATION. Was told by the Milton branch it would be up to the Branch Manager at the davis office if the loan could be tranferred. He has been current, on time and is actually paying an addional $50 above and beyond what the monthly payment is so we assumed it would NOT be an issue. Boy were we WRONG. We called, tickled to have IMMEDIATELY gotten the Branch manager! She proceeded to put us on hold, for over five minutes and then we got hung up on, disconnected, what have you. Called back got put on hold immediately for another five minutes, then disconnected A G A I N, called back for the braanch manager again. She answered this time said she had spoken with the Milton branch and at this time due to his "ACCOUNT HISTORY" not only would he be unable to transfer his account but he would have to find a way to get up to the Milton branch to get the holiday loan if he wanted it. His account with them is CURRENT and for at least the last six months the account/loan has been paid on time with an additional $50 being paid on top of the monthly payment. It's hard to believe that's how they "V A L U E" their customers that are disabled senior citizens. Wow.
