I have worked for Intercoastal Financial since 2013 and take great offense to the negative comments about our company that several of you have written here. There is always someone to talk too, we answer our phones and return calls and/or emails in a timely fashion. Our Florida corporate office is always available to help, should we be out of the office with closings. We pride ourselves on the superior service we provide and the volume of business that we handle speaks for itself. To makes such comments "steer clear of this company" with no back up or history is just wrong. Unfortunately, not all our clients obtain approvals from the banks, but we try our best to secure financing for all and if I had to guess, I would say these comments sound like angry people who didn't get approved for their boat or RV loan. Just a guess...
Highly recommend to avoid. I dealt with Mike Marshall on my boat purchase. Seemed nice at first and commented that we should be able to complete the purchase in a week. Was on the ball while he was trying to win my business and did a good job of finding good terms. After I committed to the boat and to going through him is where it fell apart. Both myself and the seller got all requested documents back to Mike almost immediately but it still to three weeks to close. I then got the paperwork and it had the wrong motor listed so I text and emailed him with no response. So I ended up signing paperwork with the wrong motor. It is now 10 days have my 30 days to get the boat registered and I have no boat registration and am paying for a boat I cannot use. Avoid at all costs
as a yacht broker who has used this company I will never use them again, too many problems when there are no problems, stay far away from these folks
Last year around this time I was having trouble trying to find financing for a totally refitted and pretty well restored 2000 Contender 35 Express due to its age, and I have never purchased a used boat by financing. If it was a used boat I would generally pay cash for it and it would not be a very large amount. But what this boat had we really needed for tuna fishing and going to the Bahamas. So I went to Lending Tree which I almost would never thought I would have ever done in my life just to see what I get back. And that is when I first dealt with Taylor Beckford at IFG. Of course I looked at the ratings and I was kind of skeptical. And yes it does take a little bit longer sometimes to get a response because I'm sure they are flooded with calls. But he took care of me from A to Z. Ironically I decided to purchase another boat for Tournament Fishing as I fish a lot of bass tournaments around the country and want to get into something earlier so I can be ready for next season. Every dealership gave me so so interest rates between 6.5 and 9% and I have a very high credit score and this boat was a brand-new purchase so my interest rate should have been no more than 6.5 through dealers and they all could not get that number. So I decided to go back to Lending Tree and who do I get again? Taylor Beckford. And once again he was on the ball and got everything expedited and I was able to pick up the boat three days before we planned. Needless to say I'm going to call him first next time around. If you are having issues trying to get a loan on a boat ask for Taylor.
Seem very interested in your business at first glance. Then do not respond to you, took me a week and several phone calls and emails to get an answer. unprofessional. Avoid them.
