Trying to pick up a Western Union money order, and they require you to fill out a Amscot customer profile. Part of this profile is your social security number, home address, work, work phone number. That's a lot of sensitive information just to pick up a Western Union. I could have gone to Walmart and not answered any of these questions, but I needed gas money.
