I love GESA! I got my car loan through GESA before I was a member. I joined afterward and everything has been smooth sailing since. I refinanced my loan with a lower interest rate but kept the same terms and even that experience was seamless. The staff is always friendly and helpful and they're in a convenient location. I also love that they're open on Saturdays.
Zero stars. Customer service is terrible. The only good thing about this place is that once a year they let you skip a car payment but that's about it. They also charge extra to make a payment over the phone.
I have several loans through this place but yet when I tried to get some CHANGE I was rudely told NO because it was for my business and I did not have a business account. SO my other accounts mean nothing to them apparently. Would not recommend !!!!! Will be taking my needs elsewhere!!!! And just think all they had to do was give me a few rolls of change. Hope that was worth it GESA.
I've been a member for Gesa Credit Union for 3+ years now. Today I received a phone call from a man working there. He is constantly saying "WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE YOUR PAYMENT I NEED TO KNOW OR I'M REPORTING YOU TO COLLECTIONS" I respond to him letting him know that I already made my payment more than a week ago and he's states "No you didn't it got reversed and you have't paid.. so when are you paying, hello when are you paying???? Ma'am when are you paying" I try to get a word and he is constantly interrupting me before I could get a single word out. I kept trying to state to him to double check before he accuses me of not paying a bill. I let him know they pulled money from my bank account. I even called my bank (BECU an amazing bank!) to check to make sure everything was good on my end and it was good. The payment was made and there shouldn't have been any mistakes. As I'm speaking to him I'm still having a hard time trying to explain to him that the money has been pulled and I don't understand why he's calling me so disrespectful and laughing at me like its some joke. He's yelling and harassing me threatening me with (collections) and finally I had to hang the phone because he was not willing to double check his end and make sure everything was good. I waited a few minutes and called back. THANK GOD a sweet lady answered the phone and was extremely nice to help me out and check what the problem was. Turns out that the payment went through and that man that called yelling at me didn't check(supposed to be a manager) and didn't even apologize for being so rude. I've never been disrespected so much in my life by anybody. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY to sign up with this credit union they're horrible and extremely disrespectful and don't treat customers with respect. Any other bank would be better than this bank. What a joke! Can't wait till my personal loan is paid off because this bank deserves to loose all its customers. I wish I could leave no stars for this company.
Went to Gesa on Wednesday and their doors were locked at 1:15 pm, with no explanation and it wasn't a Holiday..I assume they close for lunch, but don't tell anybody
