Really great place to bank. I primarily used their Duportail and Goethals locations and have always received fast and polite service. I bought an auto-loan online and finished it up at their Gage Blvd location and a representative named Jesse was super helpful and made the processes smooth and painless. I live out of state now but continue to keep my account open as the online and phone support is excellent, plus they are a member of a couple debit card networks so ATMs are available pretty much everywhere.
Gesa ask you several questions and you put the answers down. Then when they ask for your responses to some questions to verify your account - the questions they ask are completely different from the ones you set up. I DON'T KNOW MY PHONE NUMBER FROM YEARS BACK. I had called to get a new card. My wife is on the account so I thought she would be able to pick it up and send it. They would not give it to her. It takes them a week to 10 days unless you pay $29 to have it expressed. This is not to mention the attituded you get while on the phone with them.
Don’t waste your time banking here. Staff are rude and each branch gives out different information. There Student ran banks inside different schools are ran by idiots. HAPO is by far the best one and does so much for our Community.
Gesa used to be great. Not anymore. I had set up my account to be able to transfer money from Gesa to another account. I had to wait several days while Gesa transferred small amounts of money to the other account to make sure it was a valid account. I just tried to do that now and the new "upgraded" system has lost all the previous information forcing me to have to do this process again. Since I no longer live there, it's time to find another bank. Why can't you leave well enough alone?
I've been with Gesa my whole life. They've always been good to me and if at any time there is ever an issue it is promptly corrected. Not sure why everyone else is having problems.
