Very friendly staff, quick in and out to get what I needed. They cash government checks when no where else around us would for some reason. Just trying to get our disability/social security checks cashed anywhere else is impossible. Money Tree saved our lives more than once. They give you a little membership card when you come in the first time so anytime you come in they can use the card to quickly pull up your member info and check cashing is so instantly fast at that point. Just remember to bring your ID card! (Address and state does not have to be recent/updated as long as it's a valid card. Thank goodness. It really helps for people who are homeless or too poor to update their ID.)

The staff at this Longview Wa location has always been extremely helpful, kind, they've got a smile in their voice when you call & have always gone that extra mile.The best Moneytree location I have ever been to. I changed my rating from the 5 stars I know they generally deserve to 4 due to my unsettling experience today. It's easy to drop a rating even further lower with how I am feeling, though they're not responsible for how I feel due to my disability nor my disorders. I'm disabled & on ssd for my anxiety, c-PTSD, & dissociative amnesia (in stressful moments my brain drops memories near instantly as if they never happened). It's important that when I'm transacting business especially those that are of a financial nature that I be diligent in my part in my comprehension & retention. Example, At this visit today, my Moneytree Authorized Representative that assisted me in my transaction advised me that she was required to read me a statement concerning the terms, APR rates, & total Finance Charges based on that amount I financed. My duty to myself & really to them also is to explain that I have retention issues & try to figure out my own way to accommodate the situation & request help from the business if needed for our transaction. After all this is a financial contract & I am held to its terms. I immediately advised her that I would not be able to process the info by just listening to the info. I asked if I could just read it. Her response was understandable, she explained that SHE is actually required to verbally tell me the terms aloud. I said I understand however i would NOT be able to retain the info or hardly comprehend by simply hearing it & then I asked the Rep if I could please also "read along" with her while she read aloud. I told her that it would help me understand better. I then asked her if she had another copy of the notice that I could use to read along. She declined saying she needed to read it to me. I said I'll try hard to understand it. I asked a friend who walked in with me if they could listen & help me later (knowing that it was highly doubtful they'd retain the info due to an annoying inability they have to pay attention to anything they deemed boring lol). At this point I'm reaching an inability to convey my needs any longer. It was proving to be difficult and embarassing to keep what felt like begging for what I felt was a small accommodation. I bowed my head held my breath & squeezed my eyes tightly shut to attempt to drown out any other things that would use any other sensory i possess that was already in near overload. A blurring description of percentages & fees were barely getting through. I finished signing my contract & used my coping skill of not looking disabled by attempting my use of blending in and getting the f*** out of wherever the hell I am when the onset of symptoms of a panic attack is approaching. Its really quite blinding to my senses & maybe i should count blessings that i suffer with an anxiety type of amnesia to help me "forget" these embarassing moments. Is their ONLY duty to their loan customers simply that they "have to read" the notice to the borrower while maintaining exemption from any responsibility to ensure that a borrower understands the contract & financial responsibility they are entering into with that establishment? My big question of the day. The manager of the location was nearby and oh I wanted to convey my Important quality assurance suggestion to her. I believe it's a training issue that should be addressed. I couldn't do it. I couldn't muster a 10ft away complaint in earshot of the Rep that helped me. Overall she was pleasant aside from the aforementioned. Maybe not a good place to transact financial business if you need this business to assist in accommodating what should not be such a difficult request to fill for a disabled customer. Hated saying that, but I believe this to be true. Btw, the Manager of this location is top notch! Truly a gem.
