Matt and his team are highly professional and they know their stuff well! I was highly impressed right from the beginning with the quality of service. To begin with, the quote I got from Matt was most detailed, transparent and easy-to-understand as compared to the quotes that I received from 5-6 other lenders. He was also able to get me a competitive rate. Matt and his team was able to complete the whole process on a very tight schedule and I had no last minute (bad) surprises. I acquired a home loan through Matt Allen. I've purchased several homes and this transaction was unremarkable in terms of customer service. Certainly after I'd paid the closing fees, and dealt with being treated so poorly by Caliber's general customer service, Matt no longer had interest in helping me. You may have a loan officer who is helpful and reassuring in the beginning, and who sends you a $20 Starbucks gift card as a thank you in the end, but is that flimsy offer of appreciation worth 30 years of poor customer service ahead? Not to me.
Shop around. Who you give your business to is important also. I found a Christian lender that didnt have a pompous attitude.
