Wouldn't recommend going with a loan through this company information doesn't get put in correctly you will be approved for a loan and then will find out what you are trying to get won't happen like a branded title or Or income doesn't match. And/or if a loan doesn't go through and they will prove you for a lesser amount and you find something for a lesser amount and you go forward with so they will say that they can't approve you for anything it's like they just don't want the headache or to deal with it from my experience
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. It is not worth working with them what so ever. I think this Auburn branch in particular has a special kind of "breed" when it comes to their employees. Tim the branch manager is much like a loan shark in the sense that he is extremely abrasive, combative and makes you feel like you owe the company for DOING THEIR JOB and loaning money to you. I was 2 months late on a payment and he decided to give me 2 days notice before they were going to take my car that they had for collateral. He told me that they did me a favor and lent me money which is actually the only reason One Main is in business... to lend people money. He tells me if it was any other company (credit card or otherwise) they would have already taken action. This is completely untrue and shows how uneducated he is with his knowledge of how other lenders work. There also is a proper way of going about sending someone to collections, and there needs to be 3 months notice prior, not 2 with a 2 day notice via phone call. Once Tim was called out for being much like a loan shark he became defensive and started trying to argue with me and told me "See now here is where I am going to push back a little bit." After a little bit of back and forth he THEN decided to tell me there are things they can do to forgive the past due or to help with my financial constraints. Being in management myself and having to work with upset clients that are financially strapped, there is no reason you should be shaming someone or making them feel bad for not being able to pay, especially when they have lost hours at work, have been sick and cannot even pay their bills. When a client/customer expresses an opinion about you or a concern, there is no reason to try to defend yourself unless there is a reason why you feel the need to. As a manager, he should of had a more PR friendly response. I think retraining would be ideal for this "manager". I also believe if he has the audacity to do this over the phone, he should be adult and professional enough to confront me and try to come to an understanding in person. I believe the Assistant Branch Manager Jessica could definitely give him some pointers as she's been nothing but exceptional thus far. Seems to me by all of the reviews, this is not the first time he has done this.
Martha and Tim have been amazing helping me with this process I started this back in April 2019. They helped me clean up my credit sure it's still.a work in progress but I'm not drowning like I was. If I'm going to be late on a payment or something had happened with the payment they both have been kind and flexible in helping me work with my pay periods to make sure my payment goes through.
The front desk is polite enough, but the head manager, Tim, of this Auburn branch patronized me for calling in to pay a bill 4 days late, he threatened to default my loan, for questioning his demeanor, and implored me to complain. This company is predatory, and the employees are rude and ill-informed. Please never, ever, loan from then.
We had some issues in the beginning that were quickly resolved. Tim has worked with us several times and I am truly grateful for his dedication to making our experience a great one. Thank you.
