To be honest, you're better off trying to get a loan through literally any bank. One Main is not 100% honest about their interest rate until you're signing the paperwork. When they called back regarding my application, I was quoted an APR of 17% which is pretty high but given it was a personal loan I wasn't surprised. Fast forward to the day we sign our paperwork, and because we stated we did not want any insurance, it jumps up 10% to 27%. When I asked about this I was advised, "of course it increases without the insurance." I ask if there's a way we can go back and add it on and I'm told that unfortunately we could not so if we need the money we're stuck at 27%. Over 5 years, I'm pretty much paying back over double the amount I was loaned. On top of that, I haven't received any collection calls yet, but there was a lady making those calls while I was in the office and she was so rude. She was very nasty to the people she had on the phone and talked down to them. If I ever need another loan, I won't go to One Main and I'm hoping to pay mine off early to avoid all the interest.
