Jonathan and Janet were awesome, they went out of their way to help me. They were friendly and very professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone that I could.
Omg... i have never been treated with so much respect . They made me feel like we had known each other for ever. They did everything they could to help me and im very pleased at the outcome. . I would recommend Mariner to everyone that needs a little help.
I had a great experience with Jonathan Beh at Mariner finance they helped me out when nobody else could. They were quick and efficient. They gave me a great rate compared to other places. Amazing I recommend coming here for all your loan needs.
In 2017 I had my identity stolen and used to create a fraudulent account at this location (I do not live in Utah.) I discovered it in April of 2018 and immediately reported it as fraudulent (police report, dispute to credit bureaus, etc.) I was directed to complete paperwork for Mariner Finance Accounting Dept and was assured that the account would be reported to the credit bureaus as fraudulent. After a month went by and the dispute was denied (because Mariner Finance reported the account as accurate to the credit bureau) I followed up with Branch Manager Jonathan Beh and was told that he was unsure why it hadn't been reported as fraud, but that I'd need to wait until the end of the NEXT month for the bank to report the fraudulent account (due to some BS about the bank only reporting fraudulent accounts at the end of a calendar month.) I tried to contact Mr. Beh again in June to see if there had been any progress and received no response. Fast forward to July 11 - account is still showing as accurate (and a negative since the criminal who opened the account never made payments on the loan) on my credit report. UPDATE: As of July 18, after disputing the fraudulent account a second time, Bank of America (who owns Mariner Finance) has finally reported it as fraudulent and it has been removed from my records. I am sticking with my original 1-star review, and here's why: I found the communication from Mariner to be very poor. At any point in this process, a semi-regular update would have kept the thought in my mind "They are actively working to investigate this fraud and clear my name and credit record." I received no communication from Mariner until I said (on voicemail and through email) that I would call them every 15 minutes until someone spoke with me about this issue. After a heated opening salvo from Mr. Beh (who informed me that he could just block my calls if he wanted to - keep in mind that I was calling him to get an update/movement on a fraudulent account started with information probably taken from a data hack removed from my credit report) I was able to state that, from my perspective, it looked like absolutely nothing had been done on their end and no communication had been received keeping me updated. A simple email/phone call every couple of weeks or even maybe once a month stating, "We are still working on this and will get it resolved." could have avoided this entire conversation. My summary is this: I find significant fault in the branch manager's communication skills. I'm not calling for anyone to be fired, but I think a training course is necessary. I've worked retail. If you have an unhappy customer, you don't solve the issue by getting unhappier yourself and escalating the situation by refusing to listen until you've said your piece. Once a situation gets to the point where a customer has had to repeatedly contact you to get an issue solved, and you are fully aware that you have been working on solving it, the FIRST THING you say should be "I apologize for not keeping you in the loop - here's what we have been doing to solve your issue." Situation diffused. I was automatically put on the defensive when Mr. Beh first called me (because, to his credit, he believed the account to be fraudulent and he called me to notify me/find out) and didn't understand why I would be skeptical/protective of giving out my personal information on the phone (on the first call) to a complete stranger at a bank I've never heard of nor done business with. Does he not realize that's how scams operate in the first place? For him to get offended that I refused to divulge this information without questioning who he was or why he was calling...geez. I am not happy that I was required to create a new account with a company other than Mariner or Bank of America just to read Mariner's communications about a fraudulent loan created in my name using information taken from a data hack - from other corporations who failed to protect my information.
Excellent service! Willing to help if at all possible. Great to work with!
