Great place to get payday loan they work with you on the payments
NEVER AGAIN! I made the mistake of taking out a title loan and personal loan at the 12TH ST location this spring, and I've since come to seriously regret it. Everything is fine as long as you can make your payments in full and on time, but may God have mercy on you if you lose your job or get sick and are unable to work for a few weeks. That's exactly what happened to me, and ever since I fell behind on my payments, these heartless SOB's have hounded me with demands to pay them money I don't have. I've told the people at Check City at least a half dozen times now that I suffer from chronic asthma, and have been forced to take several weeks unpaid FMLA leave as a result of my asthma being severely aggravated by the hundreds of wildfires in Utah this past summer. I've had installment loans with at least 6 other lenders, and EVERY ONE of them BESIDES Check City has been understanding of my health problems and have worked with me to temporarily reduce my payments until I can get back on my feet again. To add insult to injury, Check City's antiquated computer system has no way to stop ACH payments being debited from your bank or credit union account if you can't make a full payment, or at least that's what they claim. So on top of having to pay my bank a $35.00 NSF fee, I also had to cough up $31.00 for a stop payment on Check City's ACH debits which they claim they are unable to stop. If you know for sure that you'll never get sick and have to take unpaid leave from your job, or that you'll never have to worry about losing your job; then Check City might be a good place for you to take out a loan. If you're like most people and can't predict the future, I recommend that you stay as far away from these heartless SOB's as possible. There's plenty of other short term lenders in Ogden that will actually work with you to reduce your payments in the event of job loss or illness.
This would be my rating for Layton, Utah Check City, but it's not an option on the list provided. I've never used any other store as I live in Layton. The staff in LAYTON are very friendly and most helpful. I've been a long time customer and they've always been great.
They were there for me when I needed them most. Interest was okay, and I appreciated the help!
The tellers are always very polite. If they only have one window open and a person gets in line they immediately open another window to accommodate, if a handycap person is coming in they will help them with the door and chair. They are very knowledgeable regarding their services. The store I was rating is on State Street and 2150 South in Salt Lake City.
