I have been with Umpqua Bank for over 15 years. I have both business and personal accounts with them. I am still with them because it has been the best banking experience I have ever had.
We recently moved to Salem from Canada and had no experience with us mortgage or real estate practices which are distinctly different and quite tedious and paper filled! Your rep at downtown branch , Carina became our spokesperson and patiently and graciously guided us through the steps to buy a lot. Within 2 weeks we had a HELOC to buy a lot and a way to shuffle our complex finances...not an easy task!
I don't know what we'd do without Umpqua Bank. I've recommended them to virtually every friend and family member. They have our personal savings & checking accounts, business checking accounts, and credit card and gift card processing. Their mortgage department is GREAT!!! But the banking department is the worst! They lost my business. Horrible customer service!!!!! No wonder their closing branches. Their tellers have no consistency, and after 16 months of business, they all of a sudden treated me like I was a stranger. The so called "Worlds greatest bank" doesn't know how bad their tellers are treating people.
I've been with them for about 10 years & have had nothing but great service. I do wish they hadn't closed the NE branch that was close to my home though.
