I am 61 years old and my rent was late for the first time in my life thank you onPoint. The details take longer to explain the bottom line is that the bank did not process a payment that I had money in my account for due to a processing glitch or technicality costing me time trouble and a $35 return fee.
Horrible customer service, mortgage due on the 10th and was paid the 10th at 6:45 am but the bank tried to take the payment at 6:30 and the money wasn’t there yet so they changed a $30 fee. Extremely shady don’t bring your business here they trap you into so many shady hidden fees and they won’t work with anyone on it. Totally in it for making money off suckers and not into customer service at all.
OnPoint needs to take a long hard look at how they value members and approach their customer service. In addition, communication between internal departments and the branches needs to improve. I had a problem with a check a few months ago that had to be handled by their internal security department. After multiple phone calls where they promised to call me back and didn’t, I had to go to the branch multiple times and meet with the branch manager to get it fixed. In the end the security department lost some of the paperwork that was signed. At that point, I closed most of my accounts with them and only left my credit card and a savings account open. I put the credit card on autopay. Today, I received a notice in the mail that the card was put into collections even though nothing showed past due on my statements. I went into the branch and was told that the routing number was incorrect (even though I had OnPoint handle setting up the autopay). I was reasonably upset about this but I wasn’t yelling or screaming. The person helping me told me to “calm down”. I paid off the credit card in full today, even though my original plan was to keep it open to continue to build my credit. It was worth taking the hit to my credit score to not have to deal with OnPoint’s multiple mistakes and dropping the ball that seems to be consistent with them.
Great experience every time. Top of there class in customer service in my experience. They make things smooth and easy without that snotty Banker attitude that you deal with it these other Big Chain Banks. Very updated nice relaxed feeling environment with easy-to-use and plentiful ATMs.
Worst experience Ever! To many snobs that work up in here. I would rather take my busniess elsewere, To whom would appreciate it. Rather then act like its a privilege to be a member with them. As you look around there financial institutions on every corner. So it just jinks me why they act like that same for IQ and unitus.
