Mariner Finance's Reviews
The financing part was not bad. I really don't like their website. If you want to create a reoccurring payment greater than the minimum payment forget about it. So every month I have to log into their website and make single payment that is greater than the minimum payment. I said this to customer service representative during the on boarding process. She just ignored what I said and continued reading her script. A great customer service rep would take that feedback to management but of course the customers don't come first.
Do not use this place. Unfortunately my existing loan was transferred to Mariner from another lender. I paid timely and I paid above and beyond my monthly payments for two years. So I called to pay the balance and they told me it's over the date of the contract (due by June 15th, today is the 21st). So they're adding over $800 to the existing amount. I tried to call their corporate office to discuss and your message goes to an answering machine. Just so unfair to us consumers. Don't use them they are a money hunger finance company.
The process was fast and not that bad. I definitely will use them if need be.
All I need to say about this place is wow. They get you in the loan process by asking about all belongings you have which I understand. But God forbid you miss a payment by a couple days and they hound you. I called them in advance to let them know I would be making it late due to losing my job, and the extremely condescending woman told me "well we will just call you every day you're late." I blocked their number needless to say. Each person Ive spoken to is so rude and vulture-esque. I'd never get a loan here again. Go to OneMain. They are nice, willing to work with you and not judgemental.
