DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS. WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS CRIMINAL. They will put you on hold even if you would like to pay. They keep moving up the start date of my loan and adding interest. They claim to be their own collections agency, circumventing the law and never placing you in collections. Incredibly rude and frankly a waste of air trying to pay...though I have tried MANY times. The State’s attorney has been contacted, agrees this is predatory and will hopefully take them down soon. I have proof of this. Lots of proof. I cannot WAIT to hear they are dissolved. Feel free to contact the State’s Attorney if you have any of the same issues with this company. They rely on you doing nothing and saying nothing.
Chose to finance a safe at 0% APR. Received a SINGLE piece of correspondence stating when the first payment was due and remit to details. I set up an online account to remit payment and paid several months worth of payments before I realized that I had not received monthly statements showing remaining balance. I now have an excel spreadsheet set up so I know where I'm at. I do thankfully receive payment confirmation emails, which is better than other reviews I've read. My husband has called MULTIPLE times to inquire as to why we are not receiving statements and can never get a customer service representative on the phone. I would absolutely not finance anything with them again, even with 0% APR.
Tried to buy a Liberty Safe with financing and unfortunately they use this horrible bank. They wouldn't give me financing for $1700 on a 60 month term (approx $40 a month also their terms). The "underwriter" said I was "overextended". Just a simple excuse not to give the loan. Really a terrible company with shady business practices. I would advise to stay away.
I have not been able to get a loan from them and they seemed to have good rates but they came back saying no loans available. Also, there was a link to then on the website I was using because the company has them as the financial provider and when I go to fill put the application they had the link underlined and it said "This will NOT affect your fico score" within less then 10 seconds I got a notification saying a new hard inquiry had been made. So when I go to call them the number listed is their fax. So I am quite disappointed with them in this respect.
Do not use this company! I normally would pay outright or for a big purchase, finance through my bank. On this occasion, because it was a piano, my bank could not finance it. I trusted the company to be good because the Music Store, Piano Distributors on Ulmerton Road, Clearwater, recommended them. I paid off the loan quickly and always on time. After the loan was paid in full, First Mutual went into my credit reports, all three, and put negatives on them. When I asked to speak to the President of the company after numerous attempts to correct the situation, he stubbornly refused to correct the false information! Next stop: FTC, BBB and others.
