I have been a member here for almost 20 years. The customer service and attention I receive AT THIS branch is the absolute best!!! If you're considering switching to a Credit Union I would highly recommend this branch specifically. Unfortunately I can't say I've had great experiences outside this location with G.E. Credit Union, but this one is fantastic!!!! The other branch leaders and associates need to come here for training!!! I will say that when I brought my experiences about the other locations to light the Corporate office responded quickly to help resolve the issue.

Run don't walk from this place. The staff at the branch us great. Just when you call they are like robots no compassion, or flexibility they collect more fees than a bank and act like $30 is a million. Worst customer service ever.

Id give zero stars if i could to start with. First off i have had many loans and a savings account with the credit union for some time. I decided to get a credit card for me and my wife. Boy that was a mistake. After only having the card for at least 6 months i had a fraudulent charge against my card. It took 3 days to be notified about the charge. Then it took approximately 12 days to get a affidavit from "card services" to sign that the charge was not me. All the while my card account shows this charge and me being responsible for it. Here i am coming due on my card due date and they are dragging there feet to give my account the credit. I feel i shouldn't have to make a payment on this card, it shouldn't have been added to my card in the first place. Calling the credit union and card services you get no were. No help no customer service from anyone. Just a canned answer. All i want is for my card account to be zeroed out and not take a ding against my card on a late charge i shouldn't be responsible for and a ding on my credit report. My best advice is to steer clear of this place. I hate that it came to this review but hopefully it helps someone else.

If you have a choice NEVER go to GECU, especially for a car or anything concerning money. I missed payments and my car was repoed, mind you I've had this car since 2015 and have a history of missed payments and then paying in full with no repo orders before, yet GECU could not provide any information concerning the repo process when asked because I've never experienced this. Or well, they did but it was the wrong information. First, they never tried to reach out to me concerning the repo, sending the letter to an address no longer on file, then when I called about getting information to get my car back I was told another letter would be sent out (something I haven't received to this day and it has been 2 weeks). On top of that misinformation, I was also told the amount that I would need to pay to get my car back and that the quote given only showed $25 of the $400 towing fee, since they took my car from Columbus to Cincinnati (leaving my belongings in Cleveland). I asked the rep. if I would need any other money outside of the quoted amount and she said no, twice (I called back the same day to make sure my information was correct), she stated that I would need to pay in full and just go get my car back after paying that specified amount...2 weeks later, I have my money ready and called GECU to confirm where I needed to get my car and I was told that on top of the quoted amount I would also need to pay the company that towed my car from the city I live in to where GECU is an additional $200. So, I am paying for towing twice and when asked during the first 2 phone calls why they needed to take my car from the city I was in instead of leaving it where it was in the first place the rep. said it was because the company in Columbus charged storage fees. I'm confused why they would tow my car to avoid fees but it actually resulted in additional fees, especially when the place they towed it to is more than 1 hour away from where I am and where the car was originally repoed. I am also confused why GECU would fail to mention that to their clients. I had to wait 2 weeks and call 3 different times to be able to get information that should have been given to me in the first call. Furthermore, I paid in full by the deadline but my car was given back to me damaged - my side view mirror no longer works electronically and has cosmetic damages from a hard adhesive being applied, one of my windshield sprays no longer works, my panel for operating my sideview mirrors is so loose that it seems like it will become detached completely soon, trash from some kind of fluid was left under my hood and the belongings that wasn't transferred to Cleveland were left in the car broken and thrown all over the place i.e. CD's and receipts and past registration. To sum it up: GECU towed my car from one city to another city meaning I need gas money to get home, left my belongings in another city meaning I need gas money to get there, lied to me about how much money I would need to get my car back charging me twice for the same service while also providing information purposely misleading and then when confronted about it was told that I was lying and that I would need to provide the time and date of my previous conversations to confirm that I was telling the truth (which I did because I am no liar), returned my car after being paid the entirety of what was owed damaged and cosmetically altered and now they are unwilling to answer my calls. This company is terrible. On top of this recent issue, I've had issues of fees being added to my account, in the past, that are not credible that I needed to fight to get off. Just whatever you do, please do not trust this company. They will lie to you and then when confronted about it tell you you are lying and that no notes were taken of your conversation. They are deceitful and only worried about getting as much money from you as they can.
