We can't put into words how incredibly happy we were in regards to our experience with Caliber Home Loans. From getting pre-approved to closing the entire team was with us each step of the way, answering all of our questions and reassuring us. Being first time home buyers we had all heard the horror stories of other people buying their homes and how terrible and stressful it was for them, we just assumed that our experience would be the same way. We can honestly say that this was the smoothest experience we could have ever wished for. Senior Loan Officer Michelle is a rockstar and went above and beyond what was needed to get us into a home. We will be recommending Caliber Home Loans to all of our friends and family when they go to buy a house because we know they will be well taken care of!
When buying a home, they say it’s supposed to be a happy time. Yes, we all know it will get hectic and nerve wracking but still should be a good time in your life. For me and my soon to be wife it was anything but happy. Started off great but as time progressed and it came down to signing documents. They would only communicate via Email. When you would talk to them on the phone or in person they talked down to you like you were a child. Becky an assistant here at the beachmont location was an absolutely the worst. Our closing was scheduled for 11am. We had done wired the closing money the week prior. On the day of closing as we are about 10 min from the office they called to tell us they needed more money for closing. So we stopped got the money at the bank via certified check and went to closing. We sat there until 2pm and then finally started to sign the paper work. They kept saying their computers were crashing and they couldn’t get our paperwork to print. We didn’t finish closing until 4pm. If they don’t sell our loan like I see they do. We have already decided we were going to refinance as soon as we can with another company. I will never suggest anyone to use caliber home loans.
