Payday America in Fridley, Minnesota

I’ve been coming to this location for years and always had great service until today. Due to my work hours I was never able to get to the store on Fridays so I would pay over the phone Friday and stop by sat to take a loan back out. That worked well until they switched hours, no longer offering Saturday hours. Fortunately someone I knew mentioned that they were now offering online hours and Said I could request funds that way and have them sent to my cash pass card. I have been utilizing that for a few weeks now and still paying by phone the day it’s due. Today however, I noticed it was automatically taken from my account. So I went online to verify it showed as paid and tried reapply. Then I received an email back saying I was denied and can’t apply again until next week. When I tried to call to ask what was happening I was on hold for over 25 mins. I finally hung up and called back and was able to speak with someone directly. I asked why I wasn’t able to reapply and was told that’s how it works when it’s taken as an ACH check. I explained that I was also confused why it was taken that way since I usually always call and pay over the phone and the woman told me that is what happens if you don’t pay when it’s due. I informed her it was due today and after she looked me up she said that that’s’s just how it works when you apply online. She stated if you apply online the only option is to have it taken out of your account and then you have to wait the 4 days to request again. In the past, that was how it worked when you DIDN’T pay on time. I’m angry and confused about why nobody would have mentioned that change and when I tried to explain I’d been doing it this way for the last 6 weeks and never had this come up before I was told “unfortunately I have a line in front of me so if you have other questions I’ll need to put you on hold.” After holding previously for an excessive amount of time I was pretty angry about the thought of being dismissed yet again. This is pretty much a slap in the face after being a customer for years. Financially and personally.

The Two ladies were very polite and professional. They were also charming and helpful as it comes to the service. Also, they let me use their pc to print necessary documents, while not losing my spot in line. Overall my experience; hip there went as smooth as it could've and I'll continue to use this location.

Jessica is awesome employee and fast pace worker and gets my loan process donr quickly. Always has a positive attitude and demeanor and makes the process quickly. She should be promoted to a manager position if not already
