I had a terrible experience with Lake Area Bank. I would stay away. Their systems were terrible and people wouldn't follow up. I kept having to track people down to get answers to issues created by their own systems. Despite costing me extra money, I moved my HELOC to another bank just so I wouldn't have to deal with Lake Area any longer.
Denise is always very friendly and takes care of me. I also appreciate how Jake spends time looking at how we can work together!
No drive thru. Preffered the old location.
This local bank is staffed with some really nice people. I always enjoy visiting the bank and they are good about helping me with any issue I might have.
While asking some simple questions about opening an account here Shauna was helping me. As I asked questions she kept tapping her nails on the counter like I was wasting her time and when I got confused and a little tongue tied while trying to ask about overdraft fees she kept giving me looks like I was an idiot. Found out later that she is the boss there, in my experiences the ones running the place need to be at the top of the list of patience and being pleasant and she definitely isn't up there. If it wasn't so convenient to bank there living in town myself I wouldn't go back because of Shauna
