*** To World Finance, I did reach out to the Branch & to Corporate. As I’ve already provided my personal details, there’s zero need for additional discussion. Apologies, I rarely write 1 star reviews, but this was earned.*** Original Review (some edits): I’d be nice IF YOU VERIFIED all contact information before a person gets a loan then walks out. But, Your customer, with a name extremely close to mine, (repeatedly contacted by lawyers & asked to verify she uses HER not MY email address) opened a World Finance loan using MY CONTACT INFO-for starters my email address. Wow. Your loan officers really don’t check things. As I have no idea WHAT ELSE OF MINE that you didn’t verify, I contacted all credit agencies & LOCKED everything. Potential Customers: because of this problem, I received all her loan information, including each & every payment notice, & much more. If you use World Finance, is this the experience you want? I’m NOT a customer & this occurred. To this branch & anyone associated: Verify she has her OWN email account, make sure that email address is listed on her accounts with you, then verify all contact information is hers, Finally, verify anything sent by you via that email address will reach HER. No you’re not an IT company, but please verify she understands how to access it-her email address. Anything/Everything I received of hers regarding this loan has been printed, deleted from my accounts, & given to my lawyer. If I receive more, I’ll continue the same process. A Summary for World Finance: How can you NOT issue loans without proper verification? Contact information is a basic start. A business that doesn’t, can’t, or won’t verify contact information for loan applicants is no business I recommend. With branches “everywhere” per your website-I question anyone who walks into a World Finance Office to get “Loans Around The World”. They should think about their data, including contact information, where it may go, then walkout. Corporate already received the additional, specific details re myself. I won’t send it again. This company must develop better practices overall, especially for their loan officers. No matter how busy, confirmation should always be required.
