Simmons Bank's Reviews
As far as local community banks go reliance was at one time truly one of the best. However over the past 2 to 3 years they've discontinued many of the client centric benefits they used to offer. This is understandable since many of these were most likely strategic to growing their business as they entered in to a competitive banking market. However, what they do worse now at compared to any other bank I've used is provide true friendly service. Despite what they tell you they do not truly operate as a local bank and hide behind numerous company policies, rules, regulations and management as reasons why they cannot transfer money without a fee, deposit checks from other local banks the same day, or even provide things like cashiers checks without fees. Beyond that they're just not friendly. Recently I requested a deposit to be made available same day. This deposit is a payroll check from a large local St. Louis company and was written by another large local St. Louis bank. Brandon the location manager said that he nor his manager who he said he had already spoken with would verify the funds with the other local bank or acquiesce to making this check available to me today. Even more frustrating is that this is a practice that they just started doing because in the past they have deposited the same checks at the same location for me before. Do not use this bank if you were looking for friendly service. I have use them for loans, banking with three different accounts and I have referred other people since I am in construction to use their loan services too. I will never make this mistake again and look forward to leaving this bank soon and finding a new local bank that knows how to treat people better.
Best bank in town. Excellent customer service. Always clean and friendly. They also have the best bathrooms in town. A smiling face greets you as you enter the door and you are truly their focus while you are there. I feel as if I know them personally and I'm not just a number.
