Loan experience quick and efficient. Percentage rates are extremely high, but I knew that going in. I've had a loan since 2018, pay on time every month, and therefore no issues with Mariner Finl. It's best to pay as soon as you can each month, more if you can afford it, in order for majority of payment to go toward principal rather than interest. I got a personal loan for a specific expense and all worked well!
Stay away from this financial institution at all cost!!!!!!! Worst customer service I have ever received! Rude and belittling to a maximum! Stop PenFed or NavyFCU instead and thank me later!
Lisa provided great service and was very personable and professional.
Able to apply online, which was convenient; however, when I received a call from Chris, the associate manager, I was asked the same exact questions all over again, not convenient or efficient at all. Received no response via email from Chris to confirm that he received my additional documents and when I called I was told he would call me back after his closing but he never did. If you're looking for a team who has excellent communication and who will handle your case with urgency, this location is not the one. I have had experience with the Fredericksburg team; however, and I would highly recommend them. They provide MUCH better service.
BEWARE! Horrible customer service and collection tactics. They will pull additional unauthorized hard inquiries of your credit report after you get a loan from them. This happened 1 year after opening the account. I disputed it with the credit bureau so I’ll put an update once it’s resolved, if it’s resolved. My son was diagnosed with an incurable kidney disease which tied up funds so I got behind on payments. I made a payment when I spoke with them and told them how I could resolve it in incremental payments every 2 weeks catching it all up in 30 days and the customer service manager told me I should’ve called sooner and instead I should miss my mortgage payment to catch it up!!!!
