Navy Federal Credit Union's Reviews
This is a former employee review. This company does not care about you, they care more for the PIP plan and shedding weight for others to get a better bonus. Please be really careful as they back only the large accounts with-in the organization and will cut you loose even if the other organization or account is lying. Their EVP(s) is/are leaving as well as the senior level are walking away from the organization due to the direction. The new CEO is creating a toxic environment for new hires and employee treatment with nothing to keep her in check.
I visited the branch to take out some cash for a vacation overseas. Jackie helped me and she was very kind and informative. She even reminded me to do a couple of things like put notice on my accounts since I would be traveling.
Wishes there was a branch or atm in Tyler Texas. Would make making deposits so much easier especially with money orders because other banks can't or don't do deposits for Navy Federal. Would make taking care of our bank financial business much easier. The only locations I see are two or more hours away but I love the bank
I was happy with Navy Federal until today. I had to talk to 10 people today about a transaction I was told would be reversed last Friday. I was told it wouldn't be reversed today. Then had to go to two supervisors and no return call from their superior. I guess their service is going downhill like everything else.
Horrible customer service!!! My mother in-law recently passed away and my wife and I are settling her estate. She had multiple credit cards with AMEX, DISCOVER, CITI etc. and have been in contact with everyone (including NFCU). They all offered their condolences and worked with us to settle her cards and close her account. EVERYONE accepted a lesser amount and worked with us. Nave Federal would not even talk to us about her accounts (even after providing the estate paperwork). They even went and placed a note on her account to not speak with us, again, after receiving the paper work. Keep in mind my mother in law has used NFCU for her banking saving and mortgage for the past 20 years and has been a very loyal customer. How they handled it you may ask? We get a legal notice stating they are going to sue my mother in-laws estate and have filed a claim against it. REALLY!!! Every other creditor has worked with us and STILL to this day we have yet to receive any statements we requested. THIS is how they treat there loyal customers.
