If I could leave 0 stars I would!! I have never dealt with people that don’t care about helping you. Actually, I had the same issue with our title company. We were helped by other lenders, who worked hard to secure our mortgage any way they could but Academy Mortgage did not even try even when we asked for other options. It was a take it or leave it attitude. This attitude was shown through by giving us late information a week before closing and not trying to find other solutions to secure our mortgage. We were only provided other options once our builder got involved. Because of them, we incurred additional charges. Also, the staff working on our mortgage were incompetent. They consistently asked for the same documents, sent us wrong forms to sign and provided us with false information.

We did not have the same experience as others who left a review. Our realtor recommended Marcus. At first, very helpful and informative. As time went on, we either didn’t hear from him or we had to pull teeth for information. Marcus would set up phone call meetings and either not call or postpone them. At one point he set up a phone call touch base and didn’t call because he was busy doing his brakes. Personally, I’m aggravated we wasted two months when we could have gone with a more reputable company. From my experience, I would recommend to go elsewhere.

Scott Shelton and his awesome crew working diligently and were very timely in getting my refinance loan done professionally and with great speed. I highly recommend Scott and his team to anyone looking to purchase their new home or to refinance their existing home. They are at the top of my list for recommending mortgage lenders.

Academy is the reason we could get our Home! Ted Miller at Academy was able to work with us and structure our loan that worked for us. We could not get anywhere close to the reception and education provided by Ted and the rest of the team at Academy. I feel comfortable going through this process because of how well Ted explained each step of the process and what to expect. They also went out of their way to be available, day and night. That sounds cliche, but on some of the days after our work hours and trying to stay on track with purchasing a home, it was necessary to sometimes have a 10 p.m conference call and without fail, Ted delivered. Thank you.

Colin did extra work to find the best loan arrangement for my situation, and was able to get me substantial savings on closing costs by raising interest rate a little. He was flexible when unforeseen changes occurred, and thus brought everything to a successful conclusion by working closely with the team of real estate agents, underwriters, loan processors and Title company. I wish to make a complaint against the unethical appraiser that Colin was required to work with, (Mr. Hong) who did his best to sabotage the closing by lying repeatedly about completing his work, which he never did. This rude human hung up on Colin the day of closing when Colin tried to get him to finish the overdue work required for the mortgage. (I was sitting at the office for closing and my agent shared all the the breaking news with me.) Colin even apologized to me for the closing snafu, when it was solely the fault of the nefarious Mr. Hong. It was a pleasure to work with this skillful professional.
