If you have an overdraft on your account the credit union will put a block on your debit card although you have direct deposit. Ironic, if you don't have any money in your account your debit card will not work anyway... Duh.. When your direct-deposit goes through they get their money but you still have a block on your account. By the way you don't know your debit card is blocked until you go to the store or to get money and you will be embarrassed because your debit card is declined and you know you just got paid. Then you have to call the credit union, and can't get through for at least five minutes to unblock your debit card. Shame on them.
I was told to sit in the waiting room for an official letter head stating my account had been closed. After spending 15 minutes with a teller closing my account, I spent 30 minutes waiting for a single document. As I type this I am still waiting on said document.
Constant unfair fees for overdraft, even if you put the money in your account before the transaction clears they charge you $25 fee.
Today I went up to the window to to put a check in my account. The lady at the window would not put my check in my account because it had “Cash” in the name field. So I went in to the teller counter. Where a guy was so considered about the fact that is said “Cash” in the names field that when he put my check in he put it in $500 dollars under what it was made out for. I was on hold for 15 minutes where they apologized for human error and that the 7 looked like a 2......... the check it self had it spelled out for him to see what the check was for. This was at 10:36am still waiting for my check to be given to me at the right amount.
They set guidelines based off personal feelings towards you. If you ask for a printout of their contracts or guidelines they dont have anything avalible and take nearly an hour to falsely make one up to accommodate each customer... The Fraud department is also horrible at helping with investigations.. It was the perfect bank 9yrs ago so im almost certain the bank is ran under new management considering the drastic changes in customer service.. TRY NAVY FEDERAL
