By far the worse bank I have ever been to. To simply cash a check took damn near 2 and a half hours. Wait in line for them to tell you sit at a table and wait for someone else. While waiting more people come in, they over look you. And I'm still waiting. Poor customer service.
The manager is very rude. Long waits for any of the services other than simple banking transactions. Most of the tellers and desk staff are nice. I'll be switching to a community bank or credit union with better interest rates soon.
Rushed to the bank which was closing the door at 12 when online it read open till 1pm. (Jan 30) but even if closing we got there just needing to cash a check. Thanks for nothing, bah humbug!
Had a small check drawn on SunTrust - Branch manager, would not cash it - First, went to the counter - Clerk looked at the check and asked we had an account and we said no - She said we would have to pay a $7.00 charge to cash the check - We said ok - Then she said for us to go to one of the bank service desks - We looked around and did not see anyone at a desk - We heard someone say come over here and saw a woman sitting behind a partition - She looked at the check and asked the same questions - Said we would have to pay $7.00 and fiddled around with her computer - She called Ms. Katerina, the branch manager over - She smiled and asked the same questions again and told us about the $7.00 and asked if we would open an account - We said we did not need another bank account - We told her we have never had a problem cashing a check at the bank on which it was drawn - She continued to grin, all the while refusing to cash the check - We told her we would happily go to another SunTrust branch and we were sure they would cash the check - Katerina said she was sure they would not - SO, WE CALLED ANOTHER SUNTRUST BRANCH NEARBY AND THEY TOLD US TO COME BY ANYTIME. WITHIN A COUPLE OF HOURS, WE HAD CASHED THE CHECK - PAID THE $7.00 FEE - AND WERE ON OUR WAY - KATERINA WAS SOOOO CONCERNED OVER THAT LITTLE CHECK - WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO THAT BRANCH FOR ANYTHING - IF SHE IS FEARFUL OF MAKING AN EVERY DAY DECISION SUCH AS CASHING A SMALL CHECK DRAWN ON THE BANK WITHOUT PANICKING, HOW MUCH IN DEPTH SERVICE CAN SHE PROVIDE BANK CUSTOMERS?
These hours are wrong. They close at 12pm on Saturday.
