08/17 - I went into the local branch today to get a payday advance, and my day was ruined. According to CIC when they ran my application, I have a recent bankruptcy. Never in my 38 years on this earth have I ever applied for or considered bankruptcy. I was given a printout to contact the credit company to get more information. I called my supervisor to let her know I’d be late getting back from lunch, but I never made it back. The company that they have listed stated that CIC doesn’t use them and they have no record of a recent submission. I wa given their CIC customer service number, but that was no help. I left a message at 1:36pm, and an area manager was supposed to call me, but I’m still waiting. I called every phone number that I was given, but no one but CIC showed the bankruptcy. I ran my Transunion credit report and nothing. Beyond frustrated, an idea came to me to try another lender. I went to Carolina Payday Loans on S. Pleasantburg drive, explained what happened, and completed an application with them. No problem, no mention of a bankruptcy. I Was Livid! Please believe that I called them back and let them know that they had lost a customer, and that they might want to get that fixed or lose more business. Everything included here will be in a letter to their corporate office, as I want this negative information removed from wherever it is. Oh, and they couldn’t tell me which system they use to run applications, so I don’t know where to start to fix it. If you need a quick advance from very friendly, customer oriented staff, then see the ladies at CAROLINA PAYDAY LOANS!
