Dollar Bank in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

I had a cable bill try to take the money out as I had automatic bill pay, but I didn't have enough in my account so they didn't pay the bill therefore I wasn't in the negatives but they still charged me for an over draft fee. I would be happy to pay an overdraft fee if the Money was actually taken out and the bill was paid but they blocked the transaction ( naturally) but still charged me the overdraft fee 2× because the cable bill tried to take it out again. My account was never in the negatives due to the bill not being paid I still had to pay 70$. Nothing like getting kicked while your already down. I switched to a bank that gives you a 24 hour grace period.

Typical bank with the usual tricks and traps. Nice enough staff, if a bit slow to respond and almost robotic when dealing with complaints. Clean location with free parking and outdoor ATM. Be warned that asking for no ability to overdraft a free checking account only works when you physically use the card. If it's considered a "recurring payment" then it'll go through and overdraft you even though you've been told that won't be allowed. Only fix I was offered was to physically come in and change account types to a no overdraft account that (somehow) is different and won't take any overdraft types. Overall, still a bank. I'll be looking for a good credit union to try.

Literally the worst staffed bank in Pittsburgh. Not one person moves with a sense of urgency in the building. Only one teller available while the others stand around and pretend to look busy. I constantly have to leave the teller line to deposit my cash through the ATM because if I don’t ill be waiting in for 10-20 minutes. It’s ridiculous ! Hire a more competent staff and do a better job. I’d rather drive to the southside location and waste gas then come back to this unorganized bank.

all your staff are dumb, specially the assistant manager. please hire people who can think a little bit.
