I got an auto loan from them. Getting the loan was easy enough and everyone was super helpful in the initial process. However, paying off the loan has been an actual nightmare. I wanted to pay off early, called to do so and they said they’d charge me $10 unless I sent a check. So I have to pay you to pay you? Ok. I sent a check then called AND used live chat to ensure my automatic payment wouldn’t be taken out after the check had been cashed. However, they still took the money from my account after I had paid off the entire loan. You’d think that 1. There’d be some kind of process in place to not take money from people that is not owed 2. The TWO customer service reps I spoke to would have done their jobs correctly. The third customer service rep I spoke to said “Well I think it’s been refunded” but couldn’t even give me a timeline of when I’d see those funds again or a confirmation that is has been refunded. Really poor service.
About once a month and sometimes more frequently the Live Tellers/ATMs are not working. I had to drive 30 minutes out of my way to a different branch to access my money. Calling customer service to try to figure something out proved to be a big waste of time as the lady o talked to had a smart mouth and was defensive in her ability to tell me "I have just told you what your options were . . ." My account will be closed today ad this is not the first time it has happened and it was the last chance I could give them.
this bank is infuriating with the “coverage”. i don’t need a courtesy pay i need you to STOP a transaction if the funds are not in the account. you’re not helping me by adding an additional $35 on top of the charge that i couldn’t pay for in the first place!! have been going back & forth with them & im so sick of them. DEFINITELY FINDING ANOTHER BANK ASAP!
Soooooooo....apply for a loan and it goes left. I get a follow up email grilling me on why I want the personal loan. Once a loan officer contacts me, she proceeds to go too far on the reasoning for the loan, drags her feet to respond, yet once I left a frustrating voicemail she calls back and said her emails were down for a few days and before the reason was because she was out of the office for a few days (mind you there was no out of office on her email, then I would understand the delay). Now if you want to assist on a PROFESSIONAL level that is one thing..to start speaking on "why pay a car off for your spouse and leave him with no responsibility" is not her place to say. I will definitely be cutting ties with this FCU as there are more professional and less offensive places to deal with!!!! If I could remove the one star (because of how she handled it, I would!!) I actually would request a follow up with someone higher if possible!
They're very nice and friendly until you really need their help. I've received very rude, condescending service from their staff, far worse than any other credit union or bank. I've decided to take my service elsewhere and would not recommend Clearview to anyone. There are far better credit unions out there.
