Lakeview Loan Servicing, LLC's Reviews
Incompetence must be a prerequisite to work here. I have had different servicing companies all of whom were sensible and easy to deal with. This company is bottom of the barrel. Good luck if they purchase your mortgage. I’ve never had to beg a company to take my payment but that’s what happened with them. They purchased my mortgage from the previous company which is standard. I realized my mortgage had not come out of my account so I contacted them because I wanted to make sure there was no issue. They assured me this is normal and my mortgage would come out within a few days. I said I’d like to pay right now and for some reason they could not do that. That’s fine perhaps they have a payment schedule they’d like to follow. I confirmed with them that I would not be charged a late fee because they have decided not to take my mortgage payment yet. Lo and behold I receive a notice advising my mortgage was late. Yes I know it’s late, you wouldn’t let me pay it. Welcome to the twilight zone. Although the issue was resolved and they realized the error, I still had to waste time speaking with them over the very issue I contacted them to begin with. It’s undue stress caused to a family who is trying to do things the right way. Whenever my mortgage was sold the new company picked up right where the last left off; always a very easy transition. This company was slow and incompetent, took my payment late in the month then took another mortgage payment early on in the next month. All together they took over $6000 in a two week span. When you are already on a payment schedule you budget accordingly. This company could care less. Just a ploy to get somebody to refinance. Hopefully they sell my mortgage soon.
I still abhor this company however, I am updating that through the DFI (washington state) and BBB complaints they agreed to refund me $1,300 of the closing costs (we ultimately agreed to pay $2,700, before it randomly jumped to the $4,000). They essentially have said they have "missed opportunities" regarding their poor communication and customer service. Just outrageous. My insurance is changing companies, and my property taxes are due. I will be back if they follow suit with the other complaints and do not pay those.... or if I don't ever get my refund check... This company is the worst company to have to interact with. I don't know how they manage to hire everyone on the same terrible caliber, but just try to avoid them at all costs. Our loan was sold to them immediately after closing. We tried to refinance (FHA) with them since they already held the loan. Let me just say what an absolute nightmare. We were lead astray about the cash needed to close, and struggled to get any clarity on why it was changing, we had our loan delayed with closing by Kevin Shannon, and other employees (behind the scenes) at Lake View, closed 10 weeks and 2 days after we started the process (given timeline of 6-8 weeks). No supervisor has contacted us back, after we expressed concerns and complaints regarding the frustrations in dealing with the loan officer we were bestowed. We call and leave messages, we email, we email again, we ask for updates and no one responds. They delayed the loan refinance process by negligence and apathy (some former employee didn't do things right and no one followed up). I have emails that show the timeline, and all our attempts to contact them, and they also show the empty promises and assurances. How can a company still be in business with these poor practices? Just look at all of their BBB complaints, and google reviews, and yelp, and any review sight. He neglected to keep us informed, didn't follow up on the loan internally and told us everything was always "fine" and that his initial numbers would be correct in the end. SHOCKER, they were not, we were told $1,500 cash to close, and needed $4,000 in the end, we were given a reason for the change, but ultimately if we planned $1,500 and then needed 2.5 times that, we are lucky we had it. Kevin states he got us a slight lender credit for the nightmarish transaction. We are filing formal complaints with the state we reside in and BBB complaints. I am genuinely shocked they are still operational. The company as a whole seems to overload all of their staff, and while I don't think that is always an excuse for poor services, I think the company needs to be held responsible for their part in this experience.
Like many before me, this "company" has no respect for it's customers. I cannot believe that they service so many loans. I have been trying for over a week to get someone to call me back regarding a "no cost" rate reduction plan they are offering for VA loans. I have been shuffled around, disconnected, promise's to call back etc.. I have supposedly spoken with two different managers and filed an escalation (have number) with no results. I have sent emails and left voice -mails several times with no response whatsoever. This program could save me over $200.00 per month. As I am on social security only, this would be a God send for me. Lakeside has many bad reviews-add this one to the growing list. BTW: I also emailed the "customer care" address they gave me with no response.
I had the misfortune of having my mortgage sold to this company. When I moved the instructed our title company to mail a check for the loan payoff. Even with signatures and tracking info showing they received the check the still refuse to close the loan. It has been over a month now and they continue to give me the run around and empty apologies for “losing” a 6 figure check. Meanwhile, they are collecting interest on money that isn’t theirs. This company is terrible. Costumer service is terrible. Business practice is dishonest and borders on criminal.
Horrible!!! I emailed to find out why our escrowed property taxes had not been paid. No response. Emailed for a second time and received an irrelevant repsonse back A MONTH later!!! We've given up and are looking to refinance ASAP.
