At first thought it was a place that helped ones in need of help but as the time went on I see and so have others that one main is only after the almighty dollar with high interest rates and not responding to their client's best interest. I'm not saying this because they didn't help me out in time of need but when you have to go out of state to try and get a loan from another branch and they want to give it to you means to me that the offices in pa are only out for their own self and what money they can make on people that really need help and can get a higher rate on interest. The only reason it got one star is because it wont let you go ahead and post with out giving one or more stars I would rate it a neg 3 stars
Carrie was great and very nice to me when coming in after applying for a loan. They are great to work with if you are building credit, or have bad/fair credit. They approved me despite being a college student and working part time during the winter. HOWEVER, this place is VERY sneaky when it comes to the loan and agreements. I got bent over with a "Precomputed loan". If you ever hear that or they mention "Rule of 78s", STAY AWAY. Me being a dummy and not doing my research on types of loans really got me hooked by them. If they offer you a precomputed loan, you will pay A LOT more than what you borrow. I borrowed 3,000 and after making 3 years of payments, I will have paid over double that. If you want to make payments early, do not bother. You will still pay the same in the end. Only gave 2 stars due to the customer service that I received in person.
I’ve been a customer at One Main for years and I can honestly say that they’ve always been great and taken really good care of me.
