They’re not honest, their employees lie and no one is held accountable. This is “white collar crime” in legal format...BEWARE..

RUDE RUDE RUDE - the lady on the phone Kelly??? Spoke down to me asking me why I did this and why I did that, as she reviewed my credit - your job is to approve or decline me not go over my financial history and ask my why I bought an expensive vehicle only making x amount of money... then states are you sure you can even make your payment, when I have a remaining $2,500 in spending a month after taxes and bills. Please... don't want your $121.00 payment nor do I want you business. ANYONE needing assistant - use AVANT :) I'm giving you 1 star because the initial guy I was speaking with was decent.
Do not use this company. I got behind being in between jobs and made two payments. I was then only due for two more payments. So I dropped off two post dated checks to bring me up to date within a two week period. One paying the previous month and the other paying the month due within that month. I get a call later that day after dropping them off from Kelly who is nothing but the rudest lady I've ever dealt with. I asked her why she was calling because I just came in there and took care of everything. Her answer was the notes in the system weren't put it. I'm assuming with her stumbling her words that was a lie. When asking her for information she places you on hold and doesn't answer the question when she comes back on. I had to ask the same question three different ways to get the answer of where my previous payment went. All in all my account will be current by the end of this month and she tells me it's going legal. LMAO! Ok. Take me to court because by the time we get a date and show up I'll be current and you'll look like idiots. These people are nothing but rude and not helpful at all. Get money elsewhere.
They are a personal loan center. And the rates are reflective of such. But I have had lower interest loans with them financing items and have never had a problem with Mariner. They are upfront with their rates and if you pay them back, then no problems. If you don't, for whatever reason, like any bank, they will look to recoup the money owed plus interest and fees.
