Very inconvenient process.
I lost my driver license the day my check arrived. I searched all day for it. I was unable to get it replaced and needed groceries BADLY! The manager was nice during my previous visits, so even though their prices are OUTRAGEOUS, we were in desperate need so I assumed he would be understanding. Since I had cashed checks here before, I also assumed they would cash it. The girl who waited on me had a horrible personality and should NOT be working in customer service! She charged me almost $150 to cash a $1000ish disability check! I asked her to please ask the manager. I know, I know, I shouldn’t have let the loanshark know I was bleeding! But this is MY COMMUNITY. This is OUR NEIGHBORHOOD in which these people are conducting business. So, of course I assumed they would help! By “help,” I meant $20 off or more. I have WITNESSED the manager charge others only 1/2 price! So what, was he in a bad mood today or is it my hair color? Or is it random favoritism? Or my Cleveland Browns shirt? CORPORATE CAN YOU PLEASE ANSWER THAT FOR ME? I MEAN, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL? DISCRIMINATED AGAINST? THATS A YES! Shouldn’t CONSISTENCY matter to you? Well, it matters to your customers! When possible, I prefer to shop locally, as you can clearly see from my reviews. I mean really? $150 on $1000? Issued by THE SAME BANK, SAME ACCOUNT as my last check? AND ITS DISABILITY!!! Wow! Look, I have worked my entire life! I WAS NOT ASKING FOR A HANDOUT! I didn’t mention my personal situation to that cashier, it’s none of her business and as bitter as she was, it would not have helped. Next, she returned and said $5...? AND EVEN SAID THAT RUDELY! Again, “I’ll take $5 off, that’s it, you want it?” I swear to you, that was her demeanor. Wow! They have some nerve, these people! Taking advantage of someone when they’re in need is not only seen as a VERY POOR CHARACTER , it is also completely UNACCEPTABLE in customer service. You see, it also shows the community the which you are conducting business, those very people YOUR COMPANY NEEDS to earn as customers, the real mission and vision of your company: a lack of character and no VALUES are not acceptable here. Seriously? How are you working with money when you CLEARLY can do math? You lost me, a REPEAT, ALMOST LOYAL customer right? So let’s say you only charged me 1/2 price, ok? THATS $75 over and over again! Plus any other services I may need. Now, you lost a customer, so you get ZERO over and... get it? A customer who posts and talks because...that’s how businesses become successful right? Last time I was asked to refer a friend. Oh I definitely will...TO WALMART. Word of mouth? I’ve SEEN the Manager charge people 1/2 price. I could have done a LOT for my 3 kids at Aldi’s with HALF of what they charged me! Boo! THE WORST PART.. they treated me like garbage. I have had my bank account 7 YEARS! But I needed to withdraw a large amount! Before that, I only came because it’s by my house (convenience) Never again, PREDATORY DISCRIMINATORY AND NEED TO BE REPORTED!
