They rock! Great people. Friendly service. Deems is a stand-up pro. Do both my business and personal banking here and they've been the easiest to work with I've had. I recommend them to friends and clients all the time. As for the negative reviews, it's probably not the best idea to show up 5 minutes before closing time anywhere. Just saying.
I've been banking with BOC for over a decade and banked with numerous branches. 9/10 times I get ahold of someone at the Johnstown branch immediately and DD is great! The few times I've over drafted they were super awesome at working with me to reverse any fee's. This is why I prefer a smaller local bank. I am sorry to see the few 1 star reviews, these folks don't seem to understand how a bank works. Compared to the other banks I've banked with over the past 20 years Bank of Colorado is by far the best.
This branch at least seems to have some issues. Last time I cashed a check there they said funds would be available the next day... Then they told me 3 days... Then they told me 10 days... It ended up being 17 days until my funds were available, and the funds were taken out of the other persons account the first day so we couldn't get it back that way. I have also asked them to send me a debit card twice and it hasn't happened so I haven't been using the account. *Update* Tried it again with a federal reserve check, with all of the watermarks and QR code etc... Again they tell me it will be available tomorrow. Now it is tomorrow and now my account is on hold again because "The account has been unused for a while". It's been unused because everything through them is a problem. Going to escalate all of the way up the chain but as of now I would recommend ANY OTHER BANK.
Unbelievable, i am a full time student and had to sell my recent broke car. When i wen't into this bank, i was told how it was a problem. That i had a little amount of funds in my account, and that it was a issue it had not been used for a month.So there forth had to verify with a phone call to even cash this cashier's check from a car auction company. She had me feel so lower class from not having money to use my account, or be able to deposit my check now. Wich if i was to deposit it there would of been no need to verify to cash it. From the little shred of dignaty she left me with i need to leave my favorite bank for years.
