Cute little breakfast restaurant with great service and character. I got the cinnamon roll French toast platter and LOVED it. I would not change a thing with it. My partner got the chicken fried steak with country potatoes and was also very pleased with his meal! We left stuffed without having to spend too much. I would definitely come back again if in the area.
Working in Green Mountain Falls and stopped in for lunch and had the Annie Eggs Benedict with country potatoes. Food was excellent and service was great. Very busy but did not have to wait long for food. I will bring the family up soon. Price was very good too.
I've been eating at The Pantry since moving into the neighborhood 17 years ago. I've learned what to eat (breakfast) and what to avoid (fried chicken), as the items cooked fresh have always been five star, while items purchased frozen are only adequately prepared. Today I ordered my usual breakfast: bacon and eggs with hash browns and cinnamon raisin toast. The eggs (over easy) were perfect. The bacon was frankly burned. The homemade cinnamon raisin bread was just this side of burned. Both of those errors (bacon and toast) could be a chef having a bad day, but the hash browns were from frozen potatoes. At The Pantry! They were not even good frozen potatoes; flour or corn starch was clearly visible on the middle part which was still warm but raw, while the outer part was scorched. Our server was friendly and professional, if clearly rushed during the noon hour. One person at our table ordered a small glass of milk; the milk arrived in a small glass ... half filled. I'm going to wait a while before going back. I have loved this place for a very long time, and it will break my heart if today's changes represent a downward turn.
Our family of 6 ate here 4 days in a row, love it! Great breakfast, super reasonable, and fast. Standouts are the kids happy face pancake, hash browns, the pork green chili (hot!), and cinnamon roll French toast style.
I eat breakfast here with my family at least once every trip up to Colorado and we love it. The portion sizes are huge and the food is great. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is great in the fall when its cool outside and you hear the nearby creek and smell that good Mountain Air and watch the ducks paddle around the "lake."
