My Sister called me at work to tell me somebody already picked up the amount of $400.00. I was naturally upset to get this emergency call at my desk. I asked how they could give money away to someone besides my sister. She said first of all she didn't do it; so she was right about that;however she continued to talk over me saying to stop yelling. I wasn't yelling my voice got a little high with the unpleasant phone call. I was trying and to tell her I wasn't personally blaming her. She kept going on a rant; so I kept asking to speak to her manager or who ever was in charge. She kept talking loudly over me without listening. I was trying to tell her she was on a recorded corporate phone; so maybe she would calm down and be able to give me the phone number to customer service; who may be able to give me some answers and I would know what to do. I suspect there was a mix up and still do. She kept speaking loudly and would not let me speak to anybody else. This happened appropriately at 2:30 PM 01/31/2019. I started to speak louder so maybe she could at least hear what I was trying to communicate. I believe her name was Avila. She finally hung up on me. My Sister said she got rude with her; so she called me to see if I knew what happened to the monb. The woman refused to say anything and just left to go smoke. She acted as if we wanted to argue. We only wanted some answers. I work with rude customers all day. I am a manager. I would at least retrain someone like this. I have been screamed at and cursed out by some customers. I wasn't trying to ruin anybody's day. At least listen to find out the problem. I've learned from listening to my customers. This woman was not the least bit concerned about how to help. How hard is it to say I know your upset. Let me at least get you the phone number to MoneyGram; so they can find out what's going on. I guess we just give a huge attitude over the phone and hang up on customers; without at least saying hold on this is the department to call about the missing $400.00. I do a lot of business with Moneygram. So does my corporation. So far today I have told four of your customers/my family not to go here. That's usually where I send $. My company also has movers that sometimes use this location. We are pulling out all of our accounts here. I don't trust this location. I'm just getting started. I'm making sure I don't give this place anymore business until I hear from a manager. I don't need any apologies. I would just like to know what measures will be taken to retrain your staff. I'm not trying to get her fired but I would reconsider her judgement; after I even warned her was speaking to me from my Sister's phone; however I was on a corporate phone that records all calls. It wasn't too long after that when she hung up. She refused to give me her name, managers name or a number; that allowed me to resolve my missing money. My sister had a card given to her from the counter, so that's how we got a name. I am more than happy to send the recorded phone call to who ever might care. Work with this individual if she is a employee you think is worth saving; to keep your customers, while you still have them. I already recommend four of them to another company after they heard the call. I stopped someone from putting it on social media. My coworkers could hear your employees from across the room, while I was on the phone with her during my break that I had to take to deal with this, so he recorded her from the other side of the room with his cell. This woman might do better in a location closer to the ghetto ; if she plans to behave like this in the future. I would not wish her on my worst customer. This employee is a rude coward who was afraid to give her name or managers name. She thought she was getting away with her behavior because she was on my sisters cell. I know that some employers don't allow responses to a bad review. I give permission for someone to contact me to resolve this and win five customers back. Let's wait and see if it matters. I have more customers to warn for now.
