Advance America in Sheridan, Wyoming

First I called Sheridan's Local Advance America's office and Paul answered the phone. Paul was Nothing like talking to a Bank's Loan Officer. Paul was just like a Friend that asks, "hey, I'm right here, I want to help if I can! " I"m a Veteran and fixing to have some serious back Surgery and the VA in Sheridan will not provide the kind of Mattress needed for extended day after day after day recuperating while lying in bed. They were great offering a Grap & pick up tool and another gadget that helps with putting on your socks. Paul explained the Simple process and I told him I would visit the next day. The next morning I visited Advance America's Website and filled out a Short & Simple form that was sent to Paul's office. When I arrived a few hours later Paul was ready. What a friendly Fella. First, I parked in their large lot, it's right next to Little Caesars and the New Sheridan Donut business. It has a near- the-front office-door Handicapped parking. I am near crippled with back pain and this made for a short walk. Advance America has a Fireplace in the office area, it's that nice! Paul welcomed me the instant I entered. This is a Serious business borrowing money but again, Paul's Customer Service skills puts you at ease, relaxes you as he leans to shake your hand from behind the office counter. If, Advance America provides this level of Customer Service Training then they do a Great job but I think it's mostly just Paul's inate built-in from Childhood good O'le boy Hometown Friendliness towards his neighbors upbringing. It's genuine! I brought with me my social security card, government issued picture ID, proof of income and a Bank Statement that verifies my Checkings Account and income Direct Deposit. Last but most important I brought a blank check from my checkbook. The office provides Free pens and table & chairs where you can sit and relax while taking 5 minutes to complete the short forms. Finished, Paul processes the forms. Meanwhile sit and enjoy the Fireplace when in use or go right next door for a Old Fashion, deliciously fresh Donut & Coffe at Sheridan Donuts. They have table & chairs or sit by the streetside windows in their Sofa Longe Chairs and enjoy the view and your Donut & Coffee. Finish and walk right next door, just literally a few feet and Paul has your approved documents. He clearly explains each page you sign. Paul does not want you to sign anything until you feel you understand each document. Next, my documents are copied and given back to me to keep for my records. I make my check out to Advance America for the amount of the Loan plus small interest fee and give it Paul. When my income is direct deposited to my checking account I can go to my bank and withdraw cash or purchase a Money Order and payoff my Loan at Advance America. It's that simple ! Now let's talk Loan intrest rate ! For my short two week $ 300.00 loan my payoff was $ 330.00 . That is a dramatically smaller fee than other Payloans that charge %400 or greater. It's a convenient short term loan to cover an inconvenient, unplanned, unexpected event. True, traditional banks charge lower intrest-rates, however short term low interest Loans are not in their best interest, they would make pennies or maybe break just above even. This is not their business model to Loan small amounts of money for a month or less. Remember Hurricane Harvey that stalled out and flooded over 800,000 homes in Texas. So many had Home & Car insurance coverage but not living in a Flood-Plain felt no need to purchase Flood-Insurance and so were wiped out, lost all they had invested. Homes & Cars gone. Homeless, unless taken in by nearby family & friends that were not also Flooded-Out. It developed quickly into a Once-in-a-Thousand-Years, Biblical-Flood. I moved to high-ground Sheridan, Wyoming where as a Youth, I visited to watch The Rodeo for 15 straight years. Sheridan is Home now at the age of 61. The Flood ruined the financial lives of hundreds of thousands. Advance America thank you!
