Amazing unforgettable experience..Loved everything about it. The scenery and the water are unbeatable. Being able to access this experience with in 4.5 hours of drive from Chicago suburbs is fantastic.
What a unique and amazing experience. Everyone was very friendly. The ferry ride itself was quick and easy. Going up to the top deck was awesome. The water was a beautiful color.
The ride to Washington Island was perfect. A storm popped up on the return trip. I had no idea Lake Michigan could be so rough and scary.
The ferry itself was clean and the trip was good. The waiting in line was the bummer part. Not so much the wait but it's a little confusing. There is a parking area up front but if the line is long enough you can't see it until your creep up to it, so if your want to be a passenger or consolidate stuff you can lose time and have to start over again back at the end of the line. Just keep that in mind.
Super friendly staff. Very efficient service. The office on Washington Island has cheap/reasonably priced snacks and souvenirs. I got great post wards and some Wisconsin badger popcorn.The bathrooms were very clean and modern. Well maintained.
