Governmental Employees Credit Union's Reviews
Very friendly staff. Made opening an account simple. Offered HSA account which was some thing I needed. Highly recommend!
Great to work with. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
My auto loan is through them and has been for about 3 1/2 years. Every month I write the check for my payment and send it in with the slip from my payment book. EVERY MONTH. And, every month I get a delinquent account notice, along with fines. I've called and called to have this fixed and squared away and get nowhere. It's the most frustrating experience, and I'm currently trying to figure out the numbers for exactly how much I've over paid on my loan because of it. At this point, I have all of my receipts, and all records. Since they won't fix their problem on their own, I now have to waste my time going to court to get this fixed. What an expensive headache.
I was able to secure financing with a dealership for a toy at for HALF of what my current CU was offering. I find having the second place to bank kind of a hassle. For the savings, it was well worth it though. The online banking tools are a little lacking, and sluggish but sufficient to see that they received and applied my payments. Every time I call the branch, I hear a friendly voice and not a machine. Great service.
Sadly we have been with this credit union for many many years. We have had numerous loans through them and they have gotten a lot of business from us. We have even talked them up to many people. Unfortunately we have been treated quite poorly the last few years and we have no other choice than to switch banks. We have been told numerous times that they would reach out and fix situations, and things have not been resolved. They have also changed policies and programs that have made us realize other banks and credit unions now the better way to go.
