Cobalt credit union is a joke. They've had my payments jacked up $100 more then they were suppose to be. I got 1 month or 2 behind on payments but was getting caught up slowly. I tried contacting them every day this week to explain the situation and no one ever took my call, but I got put on hold for 15-30 minutes every time. And tonight they just came and repossessed my truck without my knowledge, or any notification that they were sending someone to repo it. This is a terrible place to finance anything through.

I've had nothing but problems since they became Cobalt. My online login is always locked, it doesn't matter how many times I call them to unlock it, so I can't monitor anything. Since I can't monitor anything, I set up automatic payments. Well apparently they stopped doing my autopay last month, and no one felt the need to notify me, so my credit score is what let me know. Called in to find out my payment due amount...they tell me the amount and I repeat it back to double check. I write the check and drive to the branch (7minutes have past). I send the check in the tube and get told I owe more. HOW??? I JUST CALLED AND CONFIRMED IT. I'm sick of arguing so I pay them the difference with cash. I just want to get a receipt for the CORRECT payment amount....I paid you such amount...yet my receipt states a different amount. The receipt states the original amount I was told. I ask for a new receipt and get told that it is impossible. What?!?!?! Can't wait to speak with management bc this is absolutely unacceptable! Josh the assistant manager was literally the most unhelpful human. Hoping his manager is more helpful. UPDATE: The manager Mike from the headquarters office was a dream. He followed up on my concern and communicated in an appropriate manner for customer service and satisfaction. I hope he can coach Josh in a manner that will help him to grow....bc this is a learning opportunity for him. Had Josh not been dismissive and short with me...I would not have been so frustrated. Mike was able to provide documentation to show the correct numbers. He had a plan in place to avoid people getting told the wrong amount to begin with and laid his plan of action out for me so I can trust that this won't happen to others.

This place is an absolute embarrassment. Just FYI— most businesses change their names like this (i.e. SAC to Colbalt) because it erases all of their terrible reviews and gives them a fresh slate. But I see with all of these 1 star ratings/reviews and the fake 5 star rating with no review, nothing has changed. I’ve had nothing but issues with this bank from day 1. Charged an extra $150 on my car note for months due to an error by the clerk who set up the account and didn’t add my insurance, coming out of an account set up with automatic withdrawals, but was not notified for somewhere around 6 months— but this isn’t the biggest embarrassment; the biggest embarrassment is their staff. Specifically collections who I had to deal with due to the error made by the staff themselves. They are extremely rude, will talk down to you, literally YELL over you, and treat you like some sort of dirtbag when they don’t get what they want out of you. Their management is the exact same, or worse, which I see is where they all get it from. I beg anyone reading this to please go somewhere else, ANYWHERE else, and save yourself a lot of headache. To do business in this manner shows what kind of Cracker Jack operation they have going on and would not be surprised if they’re out of business (or at least another name change) in the next 5-10 years. I would be embarrassed to work there and am embarrassed I have to be associated with them until my car is paid off.

When you get late fee They take money from your payment to pay late Fee without your acknowledgment or approval so people thinking that they paid their payment and they had a late fee they take it from the payment to pay the late fee and then that months payment is late because it is not paid in full so then the next month do you pay a payment and they do the same thing so on and so on because they do not tell you when you have a late payment I have not get it get a paper ever Saying my balance or late fees are payment or anything I asked the lady at the automated window what my payment is and she tells me or gentleman at the window automated window not of them have told me sir you have a late fee. 9 reviews.
