I have used Mariner Finance twice. Each time they have been professional, easy to work with and incredibly nice. If someone claims they are any different, it's likely because they were rejected for their loan. Great people in this particular office!
Just don't. Learn from my mistakes. When you take out a loan for A and the interest paid over the 24 month life of a loan is I when you look at your Mariner loan balance on day one of your loan your balance is A+I. read the fine print very, very carefully. If you want to take the full two years to pay off your loan you are fine, but you save nothing by paying these folks off early on an unsecured loan.
i was very pleased by my experience with the young woman who assisted me in the purchase of my loan. She guided me through all of the paperwork and did everthing she could to make it as easy as possible. I would recommend this location in St. Peters to others .
This outfit is a joke. I got a cell phone call from them telling me I was past due (should have paid on the 20th!). I had wondered why I hadn't gotten anything from them in the way of a statement. Why no one had contacted me. "Oh we've tried to contact you three times and we sent you emails, etc. etc." Trouble is this was not true. They were perfectly able to contact me on my cell and if they had called my land line (as they claimed they had) they would have talked to me or my wife or could leave a message on my answering machine. I'm going to pay the "bill" off completely and I am then going to make a complaint with the BBB. I am also going to suggest to the merchant that sold me the furniture that they do NOT use Mariner in the future. They don't deserve a single star!
This company is terrible. Would be ZERO stars if that were an option. They do not mail out bills and there is no way to see your balance unless you call and ask for it. They have shady policies. They lure you in with 0% interest, but will do everything in their power to “default” this and charge interest for the whole term of the loan even if you choose to pay off early. They also charge you every time you want to make a payment. I would definitely look for other options for financing
