Wonderful service with excellent customer service. Many people like to put bad reviews I've noticed here and I imagine anything that deals with money and having to pay it back could cause sour moods. However look at this way they are willing to loan you money without even knowing you. My friend won't loan me money. This is my only opportunity as of right now to improve my credit and show this world that I am reliable and trustworthy. My kids in the future will benifit from this company. Thank you empire finance for issuing me a loan.
I was 1.5 days late and they were on the phone trying to call me, which is fine, but when they realized my number had been changed, instead of calling me at work, they called my daughter from my references list on my application. First of all, references are just that...references, not contacts. They should not be calling my references at all! The staff member would not disclose to my daughter who she was or what business she was calling from but, expected my daughter to be forthcoming. My daughter told her she just needed to call me but the staff member kept insisting she take a message and made the very out of line comment that "her daughter lives out of state but she still talks to her everyday...don't you talk to your mother every day?" My daughter gave me the number the call came from and I matched it up to Empire Finance. I called and spoke with a different staff member. When I asked why they didn't just call me at work...her answer was "we don't bother people at work the first week they're late" WTH? But I guess it's ok to call my family members at work when I'm only 1.5 days past due AND my references should not be used as contacts! Very poor customer service, unprofessional, and need to rethink their policies. I let her know that I do not give my permission to call my references, EVER. If they can't reach me on my personal phone, then call me at work, but leave my family alone! Once I have my loan paid off, I will never do business with them again. If you want to be hounded and your references called when you are 1.5 days late and want your references to be berated like my daughter was, then do business with Empire Finance.
Always polite and treat their customers with respect and like family.
They're not in the business of helping people. Was behind, so I gave them $400 and told them I'd be paying it off very soon. Instead they sent it through to my credit. It is the first and ONLY bad remark on my credit. I had a 100% payment history before that, so it's not that I don't pay my bills. I just in over my head and was making an effort, continuing communication and trying to get caught up. I wouldnt reccomend to anyone, if you're looking for a loan I would check out Security Finance . They're so much better. Also they broke the FDCPA guidelines by calling me more than once a day after I'd already spoken to them, and outside the allotted hours. Both on my cell, and at work which is on the line of harassment and goes against the fair debt collections act.
This was a very easy and quick loan. Also, the lowest payments that I have ever seen. They have a very nice staff as well. AWESOME PLACE!! I recomend it to anyone needing a quick loan with low interest and payments!
