My wife and I have been Commerce customers for many years, and recently applied for an ARM at our local branch in Bolivar. The service we received throughout the application process was outstanding! Everyone from Commerce that we dealt with was extremely helpful, especially Tiffany Baumann at the Springfield branch on N. Kansas Expressway. Tiffany was even available to help with loan documentation questions outside normal business hours. We needed to get the loan approved quickly because we were closing on our new house in a few weeks, and Tiffany made that happen. The ability to upload, review and sign documents online was very helpful and really sped up the process. We got great customer service from Commerce Bank!
I used to have wonderful service with the commerce bank in any branch except for the one in Bolivar MO. They have very POOR customer service. I have had my account with Commerce for 28 years and because of the Bolivar branch I am closing my account this week and will be going with another bank. But the other branches are outstanding compared to the Bolivar branch.
Quick, friendly, and quality service.
Completely incompetent. Had a few minor inconveniences with them before (e.g., refused to deposit a personal check written in my married name because my account hadn’t been switched from my maiden...yet my employer’s checks would go through?). Asked to remove me from getting paper statements because I didn’t want to pay the monthly fee. They did; but the paper statements (and fee) were reinstated later. But what is prompting me to write this review isn’t as minor in my view. Tried to add my husband to my checking account and they “misplaced” my paperwork. Paperwork that has our social security numbers and other secure information. The branch manager (Kathy Wilkes) looked and found the paperwork and assured me it would be taken care of. So I gave them more time and the benefit of the doubt. Assumed they would make it a priority because of the mistake, and because I stressed how inconvenient it has been (already closed his account so no debit card or checks, and his wages are now being directly deposited to my account, and can’t access it himself). Two weeks later, he still isn’t added and the branch manager hasn’t returned my call. We initially went in to add him in the middle of April. It is now June 1st. I have been a customer for 28 years and have NEVER had issues until I moved to Bolivar and started using this branch. This should have been resolved weeks ago. Very unhappy and considering banking somewhere else.
