Too bad zero stars isn’t an option. I went to Sidney Sate Bank after several recommendations. Sat down with the president of the bank to discuss a mortgage. Brought him all the information needed, a certified appraisal with pictures and measurements, and land survey. After looking it all over, he said it’d be no problem. My credit was ran, loan process started, and was told I needed to get the appraisal certified for Sidney State Bank. I received the loan paperwork in the mail with all the information and numbers that were discussed. Called the president to let him know the appraiser was contacted to do an official bank appraisal and was told once that was submitted, it’d only take a few weeks after that to close on the house. Got a call a few days later that they denied the mortgage because the president overlooked what type of home it was even though he had pictures and measurements for over a month that were looked at and discussed. After meeting with him again to discuss what happened, I could not get anywhere or an admission that they screwed up by telling me this will be no problem and getting the loan process started. If the president of the bank can drop the ball that badly, I truly doubt the competency of the bank as a whole.
