They never answer the phone and never return phone calls. Only way I can contact them is by showing up. Very frustrating.
Overall Genisys is a great bank but I might have to start using a different branch. I recently was preapproved for more than i needed for an auto loan but the person I was working with didn’t think it worthwhile to tell me about the stipulations on the loan. This issue may be due to my inexperience with financing through a loan since i haven’t had to before. Anyways I signed paperwork and put down a deposit thinking I would just need to confirm the loan and i then find out the day before we were going to pick up the car that since there are over 100,000 miles on the car they won’t give me anything. My issue is not with the company policy, that is understandable. My issue is with the lack of communication or concern to let me know that there are stipulations that are either all or nothing with regards to the amount. Also, when I tried to call this branch to find out the status of my loan approval whoever answered the phone seemed more concerned with getting the call over with than actually answering the questions I have.
Had a home equity line for a few years with Genisys. Closed the line, but forgot about my savings account with them. Was only reminded of it after getting statements with fees. By the time I closed the savings account, it was next to nothing - fee'd to death. Asked teller and response I got was lackluster, couldn't care less, "nothing I can do."
The bank itself is wonderful, but I refuse to do business at this location due to Melissa Dimeglio. She is very rude and treats us middle class like we are trash.
I've always had a great experience and the ladies are very professional. I've had several loans here and they've taken care of me.
